About the event

The purpose of these Basecamp gatherings, at least initially, will be to offer a flavour of the foundational vision of the Beloved Earth Community as it currently stands, to make connections and nurture relationships, and to tune in to our collective vision as it evolves.

Feel free to come to all of the sessions, or just come and dip your toe in before exploring further. The invitation is to weave in and out as befits your personal capacity, interests and gifts.

Here are the ingredients we're cooking up for our time together:

  • Time for introductions.
  • A short offering on one of the key elements of this foundational vision, which will be recorded and shared afterwards for the benefit of those unable to attend.
  • An opportunity to ask questions, some of which we may be able to answer, others we'll unpack together over time.
  • A break for chats and snacks, and perhaps a song to bring us back.
  • A sharing circle inviting us all to tune-in to the emerging vision as it surfaces within each of us.
  • We'll finish with a time for discussion on practical issues, plans and announcements.

Following these initial sessions (30 June and 14 July) we are planning to continue to meet monthly on the first Sunday of each month, 2.30pm to 5.30pm from 4 August onwards. We've also pencilled in the third Sunday of each month, same time, and will check in with the group in the coming weeks to see if there's appetite for meeting twice a month.

We will be inviting contributions to help cover the expenses of the session.
