We're excited to share with you something of what has emerged from a few months of deep inquiry on the theme of 'What is the Gathering Gates?'
We (Jackie, Jen and myself) have been swimming in what has at times has felt like an ocean of potentiality surrounding this question, moving among islands of love, inspiration and vision, to come up with a core offering which we feel provides a tangible expression of our intentions and values, or at least a next step in that direction.
These values include...
a commitment to dancing with mystery and making space for 'what we don't know we don't know';
tuning in to the movement of life as it courses through our bodies and through the living matrix of the earth; and
exploring in theory and in practice what it means to be 'living in the gift'.
Within all this we want to engage with the challenging prospect of what is falling apart in our times; to consciously inhabit the liminal 'space between stories' that is opening up in our lifeworld; and to pay attention to the new and more beautiful possibilities emerging in the midst of this apparent dissolution.
We wish to amplify and encourage all who are bringing technologies for social and planetary healing, and particularly those consciously oriented in the direction of systems change, cultural renewal and inner transformation - our 'north star' - with a view to forming a loose coalition of sorts.
We're in a process of re-configuring our website and other online platforms in line with our updated vision and aims. See also 'From Community to Communion' - a blog post about the Beloved Earth Community project.
Central to this revised vision is an invitation to spaceholders, visionaries, edgewalkers, changemakers, earth activists and contemplatives to join us in a regular rhythm of gatherings with a view to sharing resources and encouragement, inspiring collaborations, and generally standing shoulder to shoulder as we seek to midwife the more beautiful world that is also seeking us in these times
